This Wednesday, November 14, AUSD will host a family engagement workshop, on Teen Mental Health Wellness: How Parents Can Help.
Suicide is the second leading cause of death for adolescents. While most young people are resilient and healthy, family and caregivers play an important role in detecting early crisis signs.
This workshop will discuss common mental health issues for young people, suicide factors and suicide warning signs. Learn how to begin a conversation with your child and about safety planning. Emphasis will be placed on how to get professional help.
