Are there any school related issues that you are concerned about? Anything you would like to see brought to the attention of AUSD/Alameda city government/CA state government? The Alameda PTA Council (PTAC) supports the mission of the California PTA to “positively impact the lives of all children and families.”
Part of this effort is focused on advocacy, including engaging elected officials at the local and state levels and supporting legislation that improves the well-being of children and schools. PTAC would like to know the issues that YOU feel are important to take on. Please fill out the survey here
Recent bias-related incidents in our community have led families to ask what AUSD is doing to promote inclusiveness and create positive school climates. In this workshop, community members will learn about AUSD’s responses to hate speech and explore strategies for both reducing and managing these occurrences. Please join us! Everyone is welcome in this important community conversation.
The workshop will take place from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Alameda High School cafeteria (2200 Central Avenue).
