Ms Brown to Present at APHE Conference

Ms Kasey Brown, who teaches 6th grade math as well as the Animal Care and Welfare Class at Wood, has been chosen to present at the Association of Professional Humane Educators Conference this spring.  Since developing the animal-focused lifeskills class three years ago, Ms Brown has been recognized with awards for Humane Education including TeachKind’s Teacher of the Year (runner-up 2016), and The Matthew Eyton Animal Activist Award (2016).  The students in her popular lifeskillls class have accomplished a lot, from planning successful adoption campaigns to holding fundraisers for local shelters.
