The City of Alameda is in the planning stages to address speeding and safety issues on Otis Drive, including addressing student safety concerns going to and from Wood at the intersection of Grand and Otis. As parents of students who cross this intersection every school day, now is the time to let the City know whether or not you support these changes. In order for your voice to be heard, the Wood community needs you to step up and do one or more of the following things:
1) Attend and voice your opinion at upcoming meetings
-Attend the Community Workshop this Wednesday, March 20th, 6:30 pm in the Wood MPR
-Attend the Transportation Commission meeting on May 22nd at City Hall
2) Email the City to let them know what you think. The City’s Senior Transportation Coordinator will tally all input for presentation to City Council – your opinion counts! Please email
