Robotics Tournament

Wood Middle School, Alameda Robotics Center (ARC), and AEF are proud to announce its 3rd Annual Robotics Tournament!

For the third time, the Alameda Robotics Center (or ARC) is hosting an Alameda-wide LEGO Robotics league!  This league is geared towards 5th to 8th graders, with the goal of getting learners interested in, and inspired by, everything building a robot has to offer.  It is not all gears and grease; it takes serious teamwork, a good understanding of the rules and time to build the best robot possible.  Plus it’s fun!

There are 7 Alameda Schools participating this year: AoA, Bay Farm, Franklin, Haight, Lum, Ruby Bridges and Wood.  Each team consist of 3-10 students, with one or two adult mentors to guide them through the build process.

The competition will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, 10 am – 1 pm at Wood Middle School TAD Lab.
